Lifei Jiang is a partner at Watson & Band Law Offices in Shanghai.

Mr. Jiang graduated from the East China University of Political Science and Law. He once worked at the Shanghai Jiahua Law Firm and founded a special team for housing demolition and relocation in Jiahua. Most of his team members had a Master’s degree or above, and his team was one of the most professional teams in China. The team’s prudent work attitude and client-oriented practice philosophy received praise from clients. Mr. Jiang is presently a member of both the Real Estate Levy (Demolition and Relocation) Service Research Committee and the Exhibition Service Research Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association. He is also a member of the “Six-Five” Popularization of Law Lecturers’ Group of the Xuhui District Federation of Trade Unions.

Mr. Jiang has been specializing in real estate and housing demolition and relocation law ever since he qualified for the National Association of Realtors in 2002. So far he has provided legal services for over a hundred companies relating to housing demolition and relocation covering a total area of hundreds of thousand square meters. Mr. Jiang specializes in enforcement of rights in housing demolition and relocation cases along with criminal defense and corporate legal affairs. He participates in both litigation and arbitration in connection with these matters.

Some of the landmark cases he participated in are listed below:

  • In 2000~2004 he dealt with the Housing Demolition and Relocation Projects for both Subway Line 2 (Changning Section) and Middle Ring Road (Changning Section).
  • In 2000, entrusted by the Economic Commission of Changning District, he dealt with historical problems arising from property rights for public apartments covering more than a million square meters.
  • In 2008 he participated in an assignment project involving the under-construction real estate “Leiden Town” in Songjiang District.
  • In 2010 he represented the Shanghai Spring Travel Co., Ltd. in a housing demolition and relocation dispute with Shanghai Shenhua Tower Project Management Co., Ltd.
