Mr. Fu is the senior partner of Watson and Band Law Offices in Shanghai and an Arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Committee. Before starting his private practice, he acted as a judge and presiding judge of the Shanghai High Court for 14 years, specializing in intellectual property and commercial-related civil matters. 

Mr. Fu has extensive worldwide experience in intellectual property, corporate, and commercial law, having practiced law in several law offices in the United States to establish the international nature of his work.  He has represented many multi-national companies and local Chinese companies in IP, corporate, and commercial litigations. His expertise in these fields has become a great asset to his clients in enforcement of their rights in China.  

Mr. Fu is actively involved in various projects concerning the rule of law in China. He has been working with many international governments and non-government organizations on various issues regarding China’s judicial reform and other rule of law-related matters. 

Mr. Fu is a Board Member of the Shanghai Bar Association, and chairs the IP Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association. He is also a Board Member of the China IP Study Association and the AIPPI China Committee.  

George Fu is an active speaker on intellectual property, the rule of law in China, and litigation and commercial law matters. He has written a number of publications covering the subjects of intellectual property and commercial law development in China.
