Chaz has experience defending premises liability, personal injury, insurance defense, employment, medical malpractice, maritime, and general civil litigation matters. Chaz also has experience defending and prosecuting subrogation claims. This practice has allowed him to gain invaluable litigation and trial experience; including first chair trial experience. Chaz has also argued cases before the Texas Workforce Commission and Black Lung Benefit’s cases before U.S. Department of Labor Administrative Law Judges.

Prior to practice, Chaz received a B.A. in History and Politics, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law. Upon graduation, Chaz was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school Chaz interned with the Honorable David Hittner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Chaz also actively participated in the School’s moot court program and was a travelling advocate on both the mock trial and arbitration teams.

Outside of the office Chaz enjoys spending time with his wife Tany and their friends and families. Chaz and Tany are actively involved in many charitable organizations throughout the Houston community and are avid fans of Houston sports.
