The Collins & Lacy, P.C. leadership team is growing. The business defense firm is pleased to announce four attorneys have been elected to new positions within the statewide law firm. Christian Boesl and Chris Adams, both of Columbia, have been promoted to voting shareholders. Additionally, Ross Plyler of Greenville and Claude Prevost of Columbia have been elected as shareholders. Collectively, these four men have successfully served Collins & Lacy clients for almost 30 years.

“As Collins & Lacy gets ready to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are excited to welcome these excellent attorneys into leadership roles,” said Managing Partner Mike Pitts. “Christian, Chris, Ross and Claude have worked diligently through the years to be solution solvers for our clients and to take care of their legal needs. Their client-focused service complements our growth strategy to serve the South Carolina business community for many years to come.”

Christian Boesl is chair of the firm's Employment Practice Group. His practice focus includes both employment law and workers’ compensation. Christian regularly represents clients in state court, federal court, the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission, the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Chris Adams focuses on construction law, defending general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, manufacturers and subcontractors in areas of construction defect litigation, mechanics liens, and design professional litigation, as well as cases involving catastrophic bodily injury that occur on construction sites. Additionally, he defends designers, manufacturers and sellers of consumer and construction products in litigation cases.

Ross Plyler practices in the areas of insurance litigation, employment law, transportation law, and college and university law. Ross is experienced in helping private institutions with employment issues. His higher education work includes solving a myriad of employment-related issues such as navigating premises liability and policy development issues, and ensuring compliance with FERPA, HIPAAA, the Clery Act and several other regulatory acts.

Claude Prevost practices in construction defect litigation, professional liability, retail/hospitality/ entertainment law including negligent work allegations and premises liability law. Most recently, Claude was elected as the Vice President of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney Association (SCDTAA) Young Lawyer Division. He will serve a two year term and is slated to become president in 2016. Claude is also the Co-Chair for the Community Law Week Committee for the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division.
