Paul Babineaux is a member of the firm’s litigation group where he collaborates with attorneys on a broad range of disputes, including construction, energy, and general commercial litigation.

Before joining Gordon Arata, Paul’s practice included complex insurance matters, defending personal injury, first-party catastrophe, extra-contractual bad faith, and other tort and contractual claims. Additionally, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division at the Louisiana Department of Justice. In this role, he defended the State in multiple personal injury and premises liability cases. His experience also includes clerkships and internships with notable legal institutions, further enriching his legal acumen.

Paul earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and actively participated in the Loyola Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Paul distinguished himself early on, achieving top grades in Tort I and earning accolades for his trial advocacy skills, including the Best Opening Statement in the TYLA National Competition. Prior to law school, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism at Louisiana State University, where he contributed to The Daily Reveille and engaged in various leadership and community service activities.
