Pennie L. Gable has been practicing in the areas of catastrophic injury claims, premises liability, products liability, employment law, and business litigation since her admission to the California State Bar in 2006.  She has represented a variety of clients, including individuals, manufacturers and retailers, school districts, commercial property owners, and management companies.

Ms. Gable is also well-versed in cases involving defamation and invasion of privacy.  In 2010, she defended a number of individual homeowners sued by their neighbors for invasion of privacy by filing Anti-SLAPP motions, which successfully disposed of the unmeritorious lawsuits and attorneys’ fees were also awarded.

During her time at a defense litigation firm in Orange, California, she obtained a dismissal for a New York corporation when the court granted a motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction.  The plaintiff, a California retailer, was making claims for breach of contract and breach of warranty.

After rejoining Demler, Armstrong & Rowland in 2014, she second-chaired a breach of contract trial in San Bernardino involving alleged alterations made to a release and settlement agreement.  Ms. Gable retained a forensics document examiner to opine on the authenticity of the disputed documents.  After opening statements, the plaintiff dismissed the case with prejudice.

Born in Taiwan, Ms. Gable is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.  She has traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe, and also resided in the Netherlands and Singapore during her childhood.  She now lives in Long Beach with her husband and is continuing to collect as many stamps in her passport as possible during her free time.
