Chelsea O’Grady is based in the firm’s Sydney and Wollongong offices. She practices across a diverse range of matters for our commercial, private, and not-for-profit clients, including advisory work, transactions, dispute resolution, privacy and technology law, consumer law, strata, building and construction disputes, employment law, and complex estate and trust planning.
She is known for her forward-thinking and detail-oriented approach to complex legal problems. With expertise at the intersection of law and emerging technology, Chelsea offers clients a unique perspective on how best to approach and navigate new and emerging technologies and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Prior to her admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2025, Chelsea completed a Bachelor of Laws with Class I Honours in 2024.

- Chelsea joined Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers in March 2021 as a Law Clerk.
- Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hon I) from the University of Wollongong (2024).
- During her academic career, Chelsea was a Dean’s Merit student, having achieved in the top 5% of students in the School of Law.
- In her Honours year, Chelsea received the Legal Research Thesis Award 2024 for the highest thesis grade among her cohort.
- She achieved the highest grade in numerous subjects throughout her studies, including the Law & Emerging Technologies Award 2023.
- Chelsea has presented at international law and technology conferences, including the ALSA Law and Technology Conference 2025 and CUHK International Conference on Confronting Harmful Digital Communications 2025.
- She was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in December 2025.
