Julia Maxfield has been devoted to the practice of matrimonial and family law throughout her legal career. After graduating with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, she honed her skills at top boutique matrimonial firms in Atlanta and Manhattan prior to running her own legal practice for five years. Julia provides legal services in the areas of divorce, divorce planning, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, modification actions, enforcement actions and family offense proceedings.
Julia skillfully litigates divorce and custody matters through trial in Supreme and Family Courts in New York, but she is also is known for her ability to settle complex cases using strong and creative settlement strategies. Her client’s individual goals are always her primary concern, and she believes in providing a tailored and personal approach to each case. Julia is sensitive to the emotional and financial challenges that matrimonial and family law matters can pose, and she is committed to minimizing such challenges through responsible and consistent representation of her clients.
Julia is also a certified divorce mediator, which allows her to fashion her services to best suit the needs of her clients. She offers mediation services as well as consultation services to clients who are involved in the mediation process.
