Mr. Xu is a partner at Watson & Band’s Shanghai Head Office. He mainly engages in non-contentious corporate and commercial matters, commercial dispute resolution, and intellectual property matters (including copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets). His clients cover industries including TMT, culture and entertainment, private equity and some other emerging industries. Mr. Xu graduated from the Law School of Sichuan University and later from the Institute of Law of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences with a Master’s Degree.
In the non-contentious corporate and commercial area, Mr. Xu has long served as a legal counsel for a number of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises; also he has provided special legal services for these clients in projects involving equity/creditor’s right investment and financing, major business transactions, corporate internal governance, IP rights protection and compliance review, etc. Familiar with industry and business rules and well understanding the clients’ needs, Mr. Xu is skilled in combining business and legal thinking modes during his provision of legal services; and based on his rich industrial experience and legal expertise, he is able to provide the clients with comprehensive legal solutions throughout the process and thereby help the clients accomplish their business goals.
In the commercial dispute resolution area, Mr. Xu is adept at dealing with major or complicated commercial disputes through litigation or arbitration. The cases he has dealt with involve, including without limitation, commercial contract disputes, equity investment disputes, disputes among shareholders, and disputes involving IP rights or unfair competition, etc. Over the years Mr. Xu has accumulated rich experience in judicial practices and a strong capability of dispute resolution. He spares no efforts to optimize the clients’ rights and interests in all cases.
