Barnes_Alford_Stork_Johnson_LLPBarnes Alford is pleased to announce attorneys Weldon R. Johnson, David G. Wolff, Kay Gaffney Crowe, and Robert T. Strickland have been selected for inclusion in the 21st edition of The Best Lawyers in America. In addition, Mr. Wolff was named the Best Lawyers 2014-2015 Columbia, SC Real Estate Law “Lawyer of the Year.”

Weldon R. Johnson is the firm’s senior partner, with over thirty-five years of experience. A 1966 graduate of Wofford College, Mr. Johnson received his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1969. He was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for several years before returning to South Carolina to practice law, joining with James W. Alford to form Alford & Johnson. In 1983, Alford, Johnson & Salane merged with Barnes, Stork, Wolff & Reyner to form Barnes, Alford, Stork & Johnson, LLP.

David G. Wolff is a cum laude graduate of Ohio University with a B.A. degree in Government. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, and the Richland County Bar Association.

Kay Gaffney Crowe graduated from the University of California in 1972 and from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1975. While in law school, she was elected to the Order of the Wig and Robe and received American Jurisprudence Awards in Torts, Close Corporations, and Estate Planning. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina and before the United States District Court, District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Robert T. Strickland is a Managing Partner of Barnes, Alford, Stork & Johnson, LLP. He joined the firm in 1984 after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was selected to serve on the South Carolina Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in 1981 from Clemson University with honors.
