Penny Hahn, an associate with Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde LLP, has completed Leadership Dutchess, a program of The Chamber Foundation, Inc. dedicated to motivating professionals to become involved as community leaders.
Celebrating 25 years, the 2013-14 program brought together 25 professionals over a period of nine months for a series of day-long sessions conducted by prominent individuals from the public and private sector who shared leadership experiences and their concerns about challenges facing the Hudson Valley Region.
Giving back to the community is an integral component of the experience, and the class dedicated a day of service to two organizations, Mid-Hudson Animal Aid and Grace Smith House. They contributed to major renovations at both locations.
“Leadership Dutchess provided me an opportunity to network and visit difficult to access programs and facilities in our county,” said Ms. Hahn. “The experience also made me more aware of complex issues facing our region and the importance of volunteer stewardship.”
