Hull Barrett, PC (Augusta/Evans, GA) is pleased to announce that James S.V. Weston will serve as Vice-Chair of the Professional Liability Committee for the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA). The GDLA was founded over 40 years ago by a group of civil defense attorneys who devote a substantial amount of their professional time to the handling of litigated cases and whose representation in such cases is primarily for the defense. The goal of the GDLA is to exchange information, ideas, techniques of procedure, emerging issues and court rulings relating to the handling of litigation in order to enhance knowledge and skills of defense lawyers.
Jamie graduated from Mercer University School of Law in 1996. Chairman of Hull Barrett’s professional liability practice group, Jamie’s practice concentrates on professional malpractice defense, general tort defense, insurance coverage and commercial litigation. Jamie is currently serving on the board of directors for GDLA and has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of medical malpractice law (Copyright 2010 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.) and also was named Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2005 and 2006.
