Eweek2016Michael Y. Hawrylchak, an attorney with Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde LLP, will be a guest presenter during National Engineering Week events scheduled for engineers and students February 25 and 26, 2016, in Albany, New York.

Mike’s presentation, “An Introduction to Litigation for Engineers,” will provide an overview of the litigation process and what to expect when involved in a lawsuit, as either a party or a witness. He will present information about steps that can be taken to protect professional interests from lawsuits before they are filed and he will address the process for taking part as an expert witness.

Mike brings a unique perspective to the program as he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his law degree from Harvard Law School.

The Capital District E-Week event, sponsored by the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, promotes the engineering profession and the importance of a technical education. The organization represents more than 25,000 licensed professionals in New York State, practicing in all engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, environmental, etc.) and in all practice settings (private sector consulting, industry, government, and education)
