The Kansas City law firm of Foland, Wickens, Eisfelder, Roper & Hofer, P. C., of Kansas City, Missouri, is pleased to announce the election of two new shareholders in the firm: Philip V. Sumner and James P. Maloney.
Philip Sumner is a 2002 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Sumner joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2008. He focuses his litigation practice on the representation of individuals and businesses in the areas of commercial litigation, product liability and insurance defense. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Arizona and Texas. Since 2011, Sumner has been recognized by the Super Lawyers publication as a “Rising Star”.
Jim Maloney is a 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri in 2003. Mr. Maloney joined the firm in 2010. He focuses his practice on litigation of insurance disputes, including coverage, bad faith and extra-contractual liability. He also has extensive experience in defending personal injury, property damage and wrongful death claims, as well as commercial disputes. He is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri.
