Christan & Small LLP (Birmingham, AL) decided to do something special as a holiday gift to their clients this year. Instead of sending a traditional gift they decided to give a gift that’s true to their mission of being “Nonstop Advocates” for the community.

A card was designed and mailed to clients. Each card contained a unique code. A special website (www.nonstopadvocates.com) was created where the code was entered to direct a gift to one of three charities. The gift was then made in the client’s name. The website featured dynamically updating totals to show the real-time impact of the gifts. Clients were invited to check the website often to see the impact of the collective gift. The results speak for themselves: 53 students reached through Teach for America, 2 families of four sent to Disney World through Make-A-Wish and 17,500 meals provided through Feeding America. The firm is looking forward to the 2011 holiday season and seeing how collective efforts can have an even greater impact in the community.
