About The Primerus Client Resource Institute

Primerus is an international society of 180 top-rated, independent, small and mid-sized law firms in 45 countries that have earned the right to display the Primerus seal of quality.

Since Primerus was formed in 1992, we have worked to restore honor and dignity to the legal profession and to help rebuild the public’s trust in lawyers and the judicial system. Pursuing this goal was important then, and it’s even more vital today. Given the challenges of doing business in a fast-paced, global economy, it has never been more important for companies around the world to develop trusted relationships with law firms that offer high quality legal services at reasonable fees.

To further our efforts, we have created the Primerus Client Resource Institute – an unprecedented opportunity for clients to join us as we revolutionize today’s legal industry. By working within this institute, Primerus members and clients from around the world will examine how we, together, can improve the quality of legal services available, provide easier access to the world’s finest law firms, and ensure clients are charged reasonable fees

The Primerus Client Resource Institute was created with the help of some long-standing Primerus corporate clients, and its membership consists of in-house counsel, corporate executives and professionals who are responsible for the legal affairs of their companies.  The PCRI offers members access to one of the most valuable services to clients in today’s legal market — assistance in finding the right lawyer, with the right skills, in the right location, at the right cost.  PCRI membership also provides clients the opportunity to connect with other similarly-situated in-house counsel and corporate professionals.

What It Means When You See the Primerus Seal

If you’re looking for a lawyer, you’re probably looking for experience.  Someone worthy of respect. Most of all, someone you can trust.  Behind the Primerus seal is a wealth of research.  It tells you that Primerus screens each law firm and its members carefully to ensure that our rigorous standards are met and upheld.  The process begins with a series of questions – we ask judges, lawyers, bar associations, and clients.  We check with the candidate’s insurance carrier to see if any malpractice claims have been filed.  If so, we review the claims thoroughly to determine what occurred and why.  Candidates with a history of malpractice claims are not qualified for admission to Primerus.  The end result:  Only law firms that have successfully passed this careful scrutiny have the right to display the Primerus seal, so clients in need of legal services can call upon any Primerus lawyer with complete confidence that he or she is reasonably priced, highly competent, and most importantly, trustworthy.
