Now that we have been in lockdown or sheltered in place for the past several weeks, we have discovered a great new tool to keep in touch, called Zoom. Today, May 18, will be our fourth Monday morning “Coffee and Conversation” get together via Zoom. We have had some nice turnouts from across the globe with several coming back for repeat visits. What a great way to renew old friendships and make new ones.
If you have not had a chance to do so, please join us. We would love to see you. We are limiting attendance to 15 people, so everyone has a chance to talk and share their interesting lives with each other. Though we might give a brief update on a few things going on in Primerus each week, the vast majority of time is spent doing exactly what we are supposed to do at a casual coffee and conversation with friends around the kitchen table on a Monday morning. For our friends on the other side of the world, some of us in North America join their Monday morning coffee on Sunday evenings.
Let’s keep this going with a lot more of these social hours and business gatherings via Zoom. As more continue to join in, we might even be able to toss out the name tags and lanyards at our live events when we are finally able to begin doing them again. Wouldn’t it be nice to know almost everyone on a first name basis before we even arrive at the kick-off cocktail parties?
