ATLANTA (September 2021) – Atlanta-based law firm Krevolin|Horst (KH) has named KH counsel and legal professor Jessica Gabel Cino a partner; and hires partner Andy R. Pierce, counsel Guinevere M. Christmann and counsel Alissa Cummo to bolster KH’s expansive services as a boutique law firm.

Cino joined KH in early 2021 as counsel before being named a partner on July 1, 2021. She focuses primarily on litigation and crisis management representing clients in complex business disputes involving breach of contract; bankruptcy, restructuring, and workouts; distressed assets; lender liability; fraud; tortious interference; and other business torts and statutory claims. Cino also has a subspeciality in entertainment and technology contracts.

Before joining KH, Cino was a tenured, full law professor at Georgia State University College of Law where she earned distinction as an accomplished scholar, author, and teacher, and was committed to advancing legal practice and public service.  In 2016, she became the College of Law’s academic dean where she pioneered cutting-edge program development, curriculum improvement, and the use of analytics to improve bar pass rates and identify students at risk for failing the bar exam. Prior to teaching, she worked as a litigation associate at Covington & Burling, LLP in San Francisco, specializing in white collar crime and business litigation. She also clerked for Judge Peter T. Fay on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Cino earned her JD from the University of Miami School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.

Pierce joins the firm as a partner with over 20 years of corporate and technology law experience. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, international transactions, and technology and other commercial transactions.

He joins the firm after serving as General Counsel for BCD Travel, a multi-national corporate travel management and consulting company. Prior to BCD, Andy practiced in the corporate and technology groups at Kilpatrick Townsend based in Atlanta. Pierce earned his JD from Tulane University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Brown University with Honors.

Christmann joins as counsel to KH focusing on commercial real estate. She has counseled Fortune 500, Fortune 1000, and private companies in real estate matters including purchase and sale, leasing, finance, and development, advising clients in manufacturing, distribution, health care, finance, retail, and technology sectors.

Prior to joining KH, she served as in-house real estate counsel for two publicly traded companies and practiced at two AmLaw 100 law firms. She also served as a judicial clerk to a federal trial court judge and practiced as a corporate finance attorney, representing clients in complex domestic and international transactional matters. Christmann earned her JD from New York University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia with High Distinction.

Cummo focuses her practice on commercial real estate representing owners, developers, and lenders on a variety of commercial real estate matters. Her expertise is representing sellers, buyers, and lenders throughout the life cycle of a commercial real estate closing for all types of real property, including raw land, retail centers, office buildings, self-storage facilities, industrial, mixed use, and medical offices. Alissa brings over 15 years’ experience representing a diverse client base on title matters, leasing, financing, and development projects.
