Michael joined PKF as an articling student in June 2018 and was called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2019.

Michael was born and raised in Winnipeg and attended the University of Winnipeg for his Bachelor of Arts where he worked both as a teaching, and research assistant. Michael received the opportunity and elected to travel “across the pond” to London, England for law school, and earned a Bachelor of Law with Honors from the Queen Mary University of London.

During his articling year, Michael expressed interest in all areas of the law, and spent the majority of his articling year working closely with senior lawyers on corporate and commercial matters, civil litigation, real estate law, and estate law. He has been fortunate to receive significant hands-on experience dealing directly with clients, both independently and as part of his mentorship team.

Prior to his employment with PKF, Michael worked in the automotive industry, in the advertisement industry, and spent time working for a tech start up. These hands-on experiences, along with the valuable and ongoing influence of his father, himself a successful small business owner in Winnipeg, has led to Michael developing a keen interest in corporate and commercial matters, and importantly has provided Michael with a valuable perspective, as he is able to view matters from both a legal as well as a practical perspective. Michael knows the importance of delivering value, customer service, and believes that it is imperative to maintain a strong working relationship with his clients.

Outside the office, Michael enjoys staying active, goes to the gym regularly, he particularly enjoys playing hockey and golf (as long as he is winning), and values time spent with his friends and family.
