Jennifer A. Merlo, a shareholder with the firm, focuses her practice on the acquisition, development and financing of affordable housing and historic rehabilitation real estate developments, including the use of federal and state Low Income Housing Tax Credits, federal and state Historic Rehabilitation Credits, Missouri Affordable Housing Assistance Program credits and Neighborhood Assistance Program credits.

Ms. Merlo has assisted clients in a wide variety of lending transactions, including real property development, asset-based lending, and bankruptcy-related financing. Ms. Merlo has also represented commercial debtors, secured creditors and creditor committees in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the United States.

Ms. Merlo is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at Washington University. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Merlo clerked for the Honorable J. Craig Whitley, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Ms. Merlo is a member of the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, the St. Louis Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and is licensed to practice in Missouri and North Carolina.
