Representative matters include:

  • Represented Shelly Sterling in the $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer.
  • Currently representing boxing promoter Golden Boy Promotions in various matters.
  • Recently defended the heirs of Bob Marley against federal lawsuit concerning the Marley Coffee brand. Obtained dismissal of action at the earliest stage of litigation, prior to commencement of discovery.
  • Recently represented Irwin Winkler, writer of Goodfellas and Rocky, in profit participation action against Warner Bros. Entertainment.
  • Represented Warren Beatty in action concerning rights to the Dick Tracy character. Obtained summary judgment for Mr. Beatty, resulting in his exclusive retention of all rights.
  • Represented Uma Thurman in a multi-million dollar lawsuit concerning the motion picture “Eloise in Paris.” The case resulted in a seven-figure settlement for the client.
  • Successfully defended legendary boxing promoter Dan Goossen against a federal lawsuit filed by boxing champion Andre Ward.
  • Successfully defended E! Entertainment against a federal lawsuit alleging copying violations. Obtained dismissal of action at the earliest stage of litigation, prior to commencement of discovery.
