Mr. Tugade’a practice covers all phases of litigation, specializing in the areas of products liability, general liability, professional liability, toxic tort, and environmental litigation.  He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California, the United States District Court (Northern and Central Districts) and the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before joining Demler, Armstrong & Rowland’s San Francisco office with John Brydon, Mr. Tugade was with Hugo Parker (formerly Brydon, Hugo & Parker); Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith; and Foley & Mansfield.  He was also in the U.S. Marine Corps as a decorated combat veteran and former JAG law center supervisor.  After several years of service, he received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps in 2002.

A graduate of U.C. Hastings College of the Law, he clerked as an extern with Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the U.S. District Court and Judge Leslie Tchaikovsky of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.  Mr. Tugade is an adjunct professor of law, teaching legal analysis and writing at Golden Gate University.  He has experience in appellate work, managing complex cases in different jurisdictions involved with large-scale document productions and preparation of client libraries, and working both as, and with, national counsel for various clients, including managing teams of lawyers to defend hundreds of asbestos cases in state and federal courts.
