David Lopez is a partner of the firm and Head of International Litigation. His practice is focused on complex cross-border litigation involving multiple proceedings pending simultaneously in U.S. and Mexican courts. He has prosecuted contract disputes, tort claims, intellectual property matters and many other subject areas. Mr. Lopez is rated AV Preeminent 5.0 by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Lopez also serves as an expert witness on Mexican law in U.S. courts, having testified on Mexican law in more than 130 cases around the country over the past 20 years. He is a co-author of the treatise Mexican Law (Oxford 2004) and a former tenured professor at St. Mary’s University School of Law and visiting professor at the University of California – Davis and Baylor University law schools.
