Dan Cleto joined PKF in January 2013. Prior to joining the firm he had a stint at the Criminal Duty Counsel's Office of Legal Aid Manitoba.

Dan initially graduated with a Law Degree from the University of the Philippines in 1991. He is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Dan worked as a lawyer in the Philippine government and practiced in the areas of Criminal, Administrative, Commercial and Property law. In 1999, he received a World Bank study grant on Human Resource Management and Development conducted by the International Management and Development Institute (IMDI) at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States. In April of 2010, Dan completed his law degree equivalency at the Faculty of Law of the University of Manitoba and received his Certificate of Accreditation from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in August of 2010.

Dan was a Special Assistant to the Minister of Culture, Heritage and Tourism in the province of Manitoba where he worked with various Agencies, Boards, Councils and ethnic organizations under the Minister's portfolio.

Dan has volunteered his services to the Filipino community in Winnipeg through the Logan Constituency Office assisting immigrants in their understanding of their property and domestic issues in light of Philippine laws and regulations. His volunteer work was recognized at the Manitoba Legislature and recorded in Hansard in 2009. Dan continues to volunteer his time assisting Filipino community associations outside Winnipeg.

Reflecting Dan's multi-national broad legal experience he is involved in the diverse practice areas wills & estates, corporate and commercial transactions, real estate, domestic and family law, administrative law and civil litigation.

When he is not at the Law Courts at 408 York in downtown Winnipeg or at the office, you can find Dan at the local basketball court on weekends teaching his son the finer points of playing Philippine style basketball.
