Jessica “Jess” Cino joins Krevolin & Horst as of-counsel. Jess focuses her practice on corporate crisis management in a variety of contexts: commercial litigation, distressed businesses, lending disputes, bankruptcy, and criminal investigations. Jess is also a tenured, full professor at Georgia State University College of Law and brings expertise in fraud and forensic matters, corporate liability, and technology issues.

Jess publishes extensively, is a frequent television commentator, and often contributes op-ed pieces. She has been featured on PBS, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NPR, TruTV, and other news outlets. She has lectured throughout the world on forensic evidence, criminal law, business law, bankruptcy and trial strategy.

Jess received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida. While in law school, she co-founded and served as the executive director for the Wrongful Convictions Project. After law school, she clerked for Judge Peter T. Fay of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. She then practiced law with large firm in San Francisco, focusing on white collar crime, bankruptcy, and pro bono death penalty work.

Jess has received several awards for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and public service from Georgia State University, the American Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. She was named a “Rising Star” by the Fulton County Daily Report, and GSU selected her as its inaugural “Women Inspire” lecturer.

Beyond her legal practice, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys.
