Alex was born and raised in Winnipeg and joined PKF Lawyers in 2021.
After graduating St. Paul’s Highschool in 2011, Alex pursued a degree at the University of Manitoba and studied Mandarin, German, and History. In his second year, Alex received a scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst to study German at the Carl Duisberg Centren language school in Berlin Germany, and to study History, German, Russian, and French, (in German), at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald, in north Germany. Alex received his Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in German and History at the University of Manitoba in 2015.
Alex was accepted into University of Manitoba’s Robson Hall Law School, where he took a keen interest in corporate and commercial law. He also went on two further exchanges studying Israeli Law in Jerusalem and European Constitutional Law in Sweden. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, Alex worked for New Directions and the Community Legal Education Association. In his final year, he participated in the Laskin French Administrative Law Moot, receiving the Spirit of Laskin Award. Alex Krush received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Manitoba in 2019.
Alex articled with HazloLaw Business Lawyers, a boutique international business law firm in Ottawa where he was exposed to multilingual and complex transnational work from around the world.
Prior to joining PKF, he served as in-house Counsel with Capitol Steel Corp., a Winnipeg structural steel fabricator, where he honed his practice with an eye to business-focused and practical solutions.
Outside of law, Alex relishes in fishing at his family cottage, tree-cutting, studying languages, backpacking foreign countries, and cooking new recipes for friends and family.
