Elias Correa Menendez

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Attorney Elias Correa Menendez Esq had always had an interest in practicing law. After receiving his JD from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, magna cum laude in 2002, and his LL.M. from Tulane University in Commercial Law, Elias was mentored by an experienced business attorney and has since then had a passion for working with entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes.

Having an influential mentor inspired Elias to be a critical thinker and problem solver. Elias understands that the function of law is to promote an environment of growth and security. Elias advises entrepreneurs and companies through every stage of growth — from daily operational decisions to complex transactions. With a strong background in corporate governance, contract drafting, regulatory compliance, franchising, and cross-border business operations, Elias brings a practical, business-minded approach to legal strategy.

Elias regularly serves as outside General Counsel for companies across Florida, helping business owners prevent problems before they arise and confidently navigate issues such as partnership agreements, commercial contracts, asset purchases, employee policies, and expansion planning. He also supports clients involved in Mergers & Acquisitions, ensuring their deals are structured, negotiated, and documented to protect long-term value.

Aside from Business Law, Elias has represented clients in Chapter 11 and 12 proceedings, including debtors and creditors, and has represented debtors in Section 363 asset auctions. Elias is the chief legal officer of the Firm and chair of the General Counsel Division. He assists Trembly Law Firm’s clients with their corporate matters, including compliance, corporate governance, employment-related issues, franchise and licensing agreements, and other general contracts. Elias also actively participates in the Civil Rights Committee of the Anti-Defamation League and is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and of the Florida Lawyers Network of Plantation. He is also admitted to practice in Florida and Puerto Rico.
