Experience

Mr Gan is the founder and managing partner of Messrs Gan & Zul, Advocates and Solicitors,
in Malaysia. He practiced corporate commercial, property and banking laws for a period of 20 years prior
to his public appointment as a Senator and Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Youth and Sports
from June 2010 to May 2013. He resumed legal practice in August 2013 in areas of corporate commercial, ESG and
regulatory advisory work. He currently oversees the Firm’s practices in blockchain, cryptocurrency, tokenisation, digital assets and interest schemes. He holds the China Desk of the Firm and actively promoting Labuan offshore financial services. Mr Gan is the co-president of CENBET, a civil society NGO promoting moderation and good governance. He also serves as a legal advisor to a number of national NGO bodies.
