After spending nearly twenty years as a transactional lawyer in large law firms in both Kansas City and Chicago, Marilyn Dunn opened an independent law office in 2009. Marilyn represents clients in real estate transactions of all types including commercial leases, property acquisitions, and mortgage financing.

Representative Matters:

  • Negotiated and drafted office, industrial and retail leases on behalf of numerous landlords and tenants with respect to properties located in Illinois, California, New York, Washington and Wisconsin.
  • Negotiated and drafted Asset Purchase Agreements for the acquisition and sale of numerous skilled nursing and assisted living facilities located in Illinois and Michigan.
  • Represented borrowers in connection with HUD-insured multi-family mortgage loans.
  • Represented national manufacturing and distribution company in connection with sale and lease-back of manufacturing facility in Wisconsin.
  • Represented Chicago-based lender in financing the construction and development of luxury condominiums in Wisconsin, California, Nevada, Florida and Illinois.
  • Represented a variety of developers and property owners in connection with the acquisition and sale of commercial and industrial properties.
  • Represented borrowers and financial institutions in a variety of commercial real estate loan transactions including defeasance transactions and work-outs.
  • Represented institutional lender in mortgage financing of several senior housing facilities nationwide.
