Robert S. Forney

An accomplished trial attorney, Rob brings a wealth of litigation experience and a strong commitment to client advocacy.

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of William & Mary before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Before joining Collins & Lacy, Rob spent a decade at the Richland County Public Defender’s Office, where he most recently served as Assistant Public Defender. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in several specialized teams, including the Drug Team, Non-Violent Team, Violent Team, and Municipal Court Team. He also served as the lead representative of the Public Defender’s Office in Veterans’ Treatment Court, demonstrating his dedication to justice and rehabilitation efforts.
