Rosen, Rosen & Hagood Secures Nearly $1.1 Million for Client Suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury
Richard Rosen and Andrew Gowdown of Rosen, Rosen & Hagood obtained a nearly $1.1 million verdict for their clients. The plaintiff was the passenger in a single car wreck that occurred in December 2006 in Beaufort County, South Carolina. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, which the defense disputed by showing evidence of his excellent grades in both high school and college following the wreck. The plaintiff’s medical experts identified subsequent MRI imaging that confirmed the presence of a brain injury despite a CT scan read as normal by the treating neurosurgeon and his radiologist. The verdict included a jury award for the plaintiff’s increased risk of future illness, impairment, pain and suffering, and mental anguish as well as an award to the plaintiff’s father for his son’s past medical expenses.
