Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLPis proud to announce that Thurston Debnam, and Alicia Jurney Whitlock, have been selected as Business North Carolina's Legal Elite.

Since 2002, Business North Carolina magazine has honored exceptional lawyers by publishing Business North Carolina's Legal Elite, a listing of the state's top lawyers in business-related categories. Winners are chosen not by the publication’s editors but by the state's lawyers. This listing has become the model for other awards and lists, but it remains unique as the only award that gives every active lawyer in the state the opportunity to participate. Business North Carolina's Legal Elite includes the top lawyers chosen using this statewide ballot.

He is the Section Head of the Business Law practice group and served as the firm's managing partner from 1992 through 1997. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate planning and real estate law, and real estate litigation including land use planning and zoning. For more than thirty-five years, Thurston has maintained a broad-based business practice, assisting clients with business and corporate planning and handling land development and real property issues and transactions.

Alicia Jurney Whitlock practices family law, and she is experienced in representing clients in child custody, child support, domestic violence, equitable distribution, and alimony matters.
