Barbara represents business clients and local governments in matters of environmental law and litigation. Barbara handles permitting, compliance, and enforcement matters; advises on the development and implementation of sustainable practices; advises on legislative and rulemaking issues; assists in corporate and real estate transactions, including brownfield transactions and the placement and monetization of conservation easements; and handles civil and administrative litigation. Prior to going into private practice in 1996, Barbara served in the Georgia Department of Law's Environmental Division as a senior assistant attorney general where she handled enforcement matters as well as assisted in drafting key legislation such as the Georgia Hazardous Site Response Act, commonly known as the State Superfund Law.
