Law firm supports event promoting health information technology for improved care with partner Karen Sosler offering remarks.

Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde LLP (ICRH) sponsored the Hixny Connects 2014 annual meeting held December 9, 2014, in Troy, New York. The event gathered hundreds of health care professionals, business leaders, government officials, and community advocates who support, adopt and promote health information technology and health information exchanges to improve health care.

ICRH partner Karen E. Sosler spoke on behalf of the firm, emphasizing the importance of collaboration at all levels of the health care system.

Jacob Reider, MD, Deputy National Coordinator of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, was the event’s keynote speaker discussing the role of innovation in adopting new and useful technologies.

Hixny is a regional health information organization (RHIO) comprised of a diverse group of health care organizations including hospitals, physician practices, health plans and health care associations. It serves the Capital Region, Northern New York and the Mohawk Valley to enable interoperable health information exchange among healthcare providers and systems (http://www.hixny.org)
