Robin Finch is a partner in our real estate group where she has broad experience advising owners, developers, tenants, and borrowers in all areas of real estate, including purchase and sale transactions, tax-deferred exchanges, leasing agreements, borrower side financing, entity structuring, and succession-planning asset management.

Robin has a particular expertise in commercial and residential construction projects. She has represented numerous developers and construction industry professionals in negotiating and drafting fixed price, cost plus and guaranteed maximum price construction contracts, as well as related design-build, architectural, subcontractor, design and engineering agreements.

Real Estate Experience

  • Represented numerous high net worth individuals in the acquisition, entitlement, construction, financing and/or leasing of residential properties in the Los Angeles area, including Beverly Hills, Malibu, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades and the Hollywood Hills
  • Represented numerous owners and construction industry professionals in connection with residential and commercial construction projects, including negotiating and drafting fixed price, cost plus and guaranteed maximum construction contracts; design-build agreements; architects agreements; and related design/engineering agreements
  • Counseled Los Angeles Country Club concerning the design and construction of the Club’s north course restoration project
  • Represented Charter Realty Group in the acquisition and leasing of a medical office building located near Atlanta, Georgia
  • Represented a local family in the sale of a Westside Los Angeles retail center to a public company for more than $45 million
  • Represented local owner in the sale of an older multi-tenant industrial property pursuant to invitations to bid. Property sold to an affiliated of Watt Industries for more than $18 million
  • Represented a San Diego based client in the offering of limited liability company interests in connection with the purchase of multi-tenant industrial property in Denver, Colorado, including advising the client on entity structures and securities laws issues and drafting the underlying entity and disclosure documents
  • Represented landlord in ground lease to L.A. Fitness
  • Represented a landlord in the lease of retail space to Office Depot, PetsMart, Michael's, Tower Records, Chili's Grill & Bar, Fresh Choice and other regional and national in-line tenants in an Orange County power center and regional mall
  • Represented a landlord in the lease of an office building to the County of Orange
  • Represented an owner in the redevelopment of a neighborhood shopping center, including acquisition of property from the local redevelopment agency, a ground lease to a regional bank and space lease to a national restaurant chain
  • Negotiated and drafted a lease and sublease of space to Bed Bath & Beyond in West Los Angeles
  • Assisted a member of the Pritzker family in the acquisition of an industrial condominium in West Los Angeles, including the substantial revision of the existing CC&Rs and extensive due diligence
  • Represented a client in the acquisition of a nursery and landscape maintenance company, including the acquisition of farm land in Ventura County
  • Represented Sunrise Company in connection with drafting form purchase and sale agreements, construction related contracts, CC&Rs and other subdivision related documents
  • Represented Sunrise Company in connection with the conversions of developer-owned golf country clubs to equity, member-owned clubs in the Coachella Valley and in Houston, Texas
  • Counseled various residential developers concerning the California Department of Real Estate's Subdivision Public Report process
