About Howard Greenspoon

Howard Greenspoon is one of the founding partners of Greenspoon Bellemare, and practices in its Business and Real Estate Practice Groups. As the senior partner in the corporate and commercial practice of Greenspoon, Howard has experience representing a broad range of corporate and commercial clients. His particular focus is on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, implementation of optimal corporate structures, and real estate development projects.

His transactional skills include the negotiation, design and implementation of various strategic acquisitions and private equity transactions. He regularly oversees, negotiates, and prepares agreements and arrangements related to the sale, purchase, license, development, and lease of intellectual property goods and services. He has also been involved in transactions involving software development and large-scale licensing arrangements. Howard was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1990. He received his Bachelors of Common Law and Civil Law (L.L.B. and B.C.L.) from McGill University in 1989. He also received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in 1985, in which his major was Finance. During his studies, Howard was the recipient of various academic scholarships and awards and he served as an Editor of the McGill Law Journal.

 

About Donna Hall

Donna Hall joined Goodman Allen Donnelly in 2019 in the firm's Norfolk office, bringing extensive experience in tort defense, business and consumer litigation, transportation litigation and bankruptcy and creditors' rights. With extensive knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured transactions, Donna has handled litigation cases involving warranty claims including manufacturer and product warranties. She has represented creditors, lenders and foreclosure trustees in litigation cases and secured and unsecured creditors and trustees in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases and loan restructurings, and represents insureds in personal injury and premises liability cases, business negligence cases and automobile accident cases.

 

About Matthew Meland

Matthew Meland is a civil and commercial litigation, and corporate lawyer at Greenspoon Bellemare. Member of both the Quebec and Ontario Bars, Matthew has a diversified practise working with individuals, estates, and companies of all sizes. He has pleaded numerous times before the Court of Quebec, Quebec Superior Court, and the Quebec Court of Appeal. He works with and is on the Board of Directors of several start-ups. He received a bachelors degree in Honours Economics from McGill University and then received a bachelors degree in Civil Law and a Juris Doctor in Common Law from the University of Montreal. During his studies, he received various academic scholarships and awards, and was elected onto the Student Counsel of the Law Students’ Society. In his free time, Matthew writes and manages a blog on how to successfully pass the Quebec and Ontario Bar examinations.
