Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce Meghan Hall and Claude Prevost have been named among the 2016 “Best & Brightest 35 and Under” by Columbia Business Magazine. Enjoying its inaugural year of this event, the magazine honors 35 of Columbia’s leaders, age 35 and under, for their professional and community contributions. Honorees are recognized for their character, charitable efforts, and workplace successes.
Hall is a Collins & Lacy associate practicing in retail and hospitality law and transportation and trucking law. She volunteers her time through the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, helping out with the Special Olympics. Hall also volunteers with the Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, where she provides crisis intervention through hotline response and hospital accompaniment.
Prevost is a shareholder of the firm, practicing in construction, professional liability, and premises liability. He is the current Young Lawyers Division President for the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association (SCDTAA), where he organized a silent auction which benefitted community legal organizations. Prevost, through his membership with the South Carolina Bar Association, helped organize “Cocky’s Reading Express,” a program where young lawyers visit elementary schools, particularly under-served public schools, to read books to students and encourage the importance of life-long reading.
“It is really saying something when two of our attorneys are recognized for their workplace achievements and community service accomplishments,” said Scott Wallinger, chair of the firm’s management committee. “We couldn’t be more proud of Meghan and Claude, as they represent the values and commitment we hold here at Collins & Lacy.”
The “Best & Brightest” recipients were nominated by one or more persons who are familiar with the nominee’s accomplishments and were then chosen via means of a rigorous selection process. Recipients will be honored November 1st at a gala celebration and reception.
