(Boston, November 2020) Tony Sbarra was recently elected a National Director for the prestigious Defense Research Institute (DRI). DRI is an international membership organization for all lawyers involved in the defense of civil litigation. With 20,000 members, it is the leading national organization of civil defense attorneys and in-house counsel.

As an elected National Director, Tony joins DRI’s 24-member Board of Directors for a three year term. In this role, he will work with the Board of Directors on all aspects of DRI leadership, including continuing legal education, membership, policy, charitable endeavors and all other initiatives of the organization at large. Tony reflects on his election, “I am very proud to be selected to serve in a leadership role with this incredible organization. I look forward to helping members obtain maximum value from their DRI experience. DRI provides unequalled educational, professional networking and business development opportunities.  Perhaps more importantly, DRI membership can and does create lifelong personal relationships.  I hope to support and improve all aspects of DRI as a National Director.”

Tony is an active member of DRI. In addition to his position on the Board of Directors, he has served as a Massachusetts State Representative, the State Membership Chair, on the National Membership Committee, as the Inaugural Chair of the SMC sub-committee, as the SMC Liaison for the New England Region,  as the Vice Chair of the SLDO Relationship Committee, and on the Steering Committee for the DRI Asbestos Medicine Seminar.
