Lane & Lane, LLC is pleased to announce that the firm obtained a $22,185,598.50 verdict against Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

Scott D. Lane and Stephen I Lane, the founding partners of Chicago personal injury law firm, Lane & Lane, LLC, tried the case in favor of their client, who had suffered a severe hypoxic brain injury when her tracheostomy became obstructed and its resident physicians were not able to clear her airway in a timely manner. The hospital claimed that the tracheostomy had been dislodged by the patient’s sister in trying to stop bleeding from the tracheostomy site. The hospital made no attempt before trial to resolve the case.
