The International Society of Primerus Law Firms (Primerus) is pleased to welcome Arthur F. Licata, P.C. into membership.

Arthur F. Licata is a Boston, Massachusetts, attorney concentrating in personal injury law, federal and state litigation, and international law. He has helped thousands of people, in the Boston area and throughout New England to obtain compensation for civil wrongs. Mr. Licata has been practicing law in the field of complex personal injury and accident litigation for more than 35 years.

Mr. Licata earned his J.D., with honors, from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, 1976. Mr. Licata has been admitted to the bar in Massachusetts, New York, and the U.S. District Court District of Massachusetts. In 1996, in a case of first impression, he won a landmark decision before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court; Tobin v. Norwood Country Club. The court held that commercial liquor establishments can be liable for the indirect serving of alcohol to minors through adult purchasers.

Mr. Licata is listed in 2009 thru 2013 editions of “Who's Who in American Law”, “Who's Who in America”, and “Who's Who in the World”. Mr. Licata was also a recent guest on the “Emily Rooney Show”, to discuss his essay entitled “Robots and the Law: Will Robots Be Entitled to a Jury of Their Peers?” Host Emily Rooney talks about Mr. Licata’s essay, and the possibilities of robots being held accountable in the future for their actions. Sonia Chernova, Assistant Professor in the Robotics Engineering Program, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, also talks about where the field of robotics is today, and where it is heading. The “Emily Rooney Show” is a WGBH radio show that serves New England, the nation, and the world with educational content.
