Krevolin & Horst Announces Two New Partners

Krevolin & Horst is pleased to announce we have elected two new partners, Christopher Adams and Michael Boutros.

Christopher Adams focuses his practice on commercial litigation and education law. He handles complex litigation involving constitutional law, business torts, contracts, appeals, and trade secrets. Chris also has substantial experience representing whistleblowers in False Claims Act cases.

Chris specializes in education law as well. A former teacher with Teach for America, Chris works with charter schools on authorization, funding, governance, personnel, discipline, and contract negotiations. Chris recently helped a charter school client to negotiate substantial additional funding from its local district. In addition, Chris has extensive experience with the charter school authorization process, and serves on interview panels for the Atlanta Public Schools and the Walton Grant Review Committee. Chris also works with undergraduate and graduate students in disciplinary hearings for academic and non-academic issues at colleges and universities. Chris completed a policy fellowship through the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.

After graduating from Emory University School of Law, Order of the Coif, Chris clerked for the Honorable Julia Smith Gibbons of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and was a litigation associate at a firm in Washington DC.

Michael Boutros handles a wide variety of business and complex litigation in the areas of business torts, appeals, contract, intellectual property (including copyright and trademark protection), corporate governance, restrictive covenants (including non-compete, non-solicit, and non-disclosure agreements), securities, and trade secrets. He regularly represents photographers in protecting their intellectual property rights regarding unauthorized usage, particularly online.

Michael earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from The College of New Jersey with minors in International Studies and History.

After graduating from law school, Michael worked for two years at an international firm in both the litigation and corporate departments, volunteered in Montpellier, France in a children’s hospital assisting in recreational and educational activities, then went on to clerk for the Honorable William S. Duffey, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
