Born in Tennessee and raised in Alabama, Zachary L. Gureasko has had a passion for advocacy since he was a small child. In fact, in an aptitude test Zach took when he was a child, “lawyer” was one of the top jobs listed, and as Zach grew, so did his desire to become an esquire. From a young age, Zach often saw others treated unfairly and sought to protect them. He has always loved an “underdog story” and he has now made a career out of helping those who have been injured and wronged.
Zach is an extrovert by nature, so he takes great joy in meeting new people and hearing their stories. He finds that people often just want to feel they are heard. From servers to CEOs, from teenagers to retirees, Zach is fascinated by humanity and strives to see people’s similarities rather than their differences. It is this perspective that allows him to make the personal connections, whether it be with a judge, jury, or opposing counsel, that are so crucial to the practice of law.
Prior to coming to Kinnard Clayton & Beveridge, Zach worked on behalf of various corporate defendants. Zach’s defense experience also encompassed many different types of cases – everything from car wrecks to medical malpractice, from premises liability to negligent security. This insight into how corporate entities operate is an asset for the firm and inures to the benefit of people who have been harmed by another person’s negligence, whether it be a doctor or a semi-truck driver.
When he is not fighting for fairness and justice for his clients, Zach can most likely be found at a gym. He has been doing CrossFit for several years and particularly enjoys Olympic weightlifting.
Zach is also involved with other organizations, such as Gigi’sPlayhouse, an organization that promotes the success, achievement, and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome and empowers their family members to do the same.
