Tara Darling is an associate at Lewis Johs, concentrating her practice in the areas of real estate and banking law and commercial litigation. She has recently been published in The Transportation Lawyer Publication titled “Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Potential Conflicts Between the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Employment Law.”

Tara received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While in law school, she served as a senior staff member of the Touro Law Review, where her comment, Who Should Be Afforded More Protection in Voting – the People or the States? was published. She also served as an Articles Editor for the Aging and Longevity Journal. Additionally, she worked for the Elder Law Clinic, where she represented clients involved in Article 81 Guardianship proceedings.

Tara graduated, magna cum laude, from Manhattan College in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business and a minor in Sociology. While attending Manhattan, she was a member of Epsilon Sigma Pi, Alpha Kappa Delta, and Mu Kappa Tau honor societies. She also was involved in the Marketing Club, Thomas Moore Law Society, and the Honors Enrichment Program.

Tara volunteers her time as a session member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson. She is also an active member of the New York Bar Association.

She is admitted to practice before New York State Bar, Second Judicial Department.
