Steve is a seasoned litigator with a sharpened sense for finding minor details that can be leveraged to his clients’ advantage. His practice focuses on construction, commercial, personal injury, premises liability, bad faith, and other civil litigation. He enjoys working with clients from varying backgrounds and helping them advance their business and personal goals in spite of the challenges that litigation can present. Having run a seven-figure business, he knows the value of a dollar and takes pride in providing exceptional representation that efficiently resolves disputes, helping his clients return to business as usual as quickly as possible.

Alongside Muliha Khan, Steve recently obtained a full defense verdict at arbitration for a “mom-and-pop” trade contractor embroiled in a $1.3M construction defect dispute.
Prior to litigating, he worked as an in-house attorney for a billion-dollar international franchisor, where he negotiated transactions and specialized in compliance.

Steve graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a minor in political science. He earned his law degree at The University of Denver College of Law, where he served as staff editor of The Denver Journal of International Law and Policy and represented indigent clients in domestic violence-related civil matters.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Steve ran a small business and lived in Cairo, Egypt. He has traveled the Middle East extensively and serves on the board of directors of a locally-based nonprofit organization focused on relief work with refugees in that region. While in the city, he enjoys studying and discussing geopolitics and national security, but west of Denver, he is likely to be found camping and piloting a whitewater kayak or raft down one of the many remote wilderness rivers in western Colorado and Utah.
