Stephen P. Byrnes is an Associate at the Firm. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, and also earned his Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Mergers & Acquisitions, from the University of Miami Business School. During law school, Mr. Byrnes held a variety of internships and clerkships, including with a boutique investment bank, at the City Attorney’s Office of Miami Beach, and in the legal department of a publicly traded retail company.

During his final year of law school, NatLawReview.com published his article (as a “Law Student Writing Competition Winner”), entitled “Encryption and the Speech Surplus: Building a Backdoor to the First Amendment”. Prior to working at the Firm, Mr. Byrnes worked in the areas of complex commercial litigation, managed care litigation, personal injury litigation, securities litigation, and real estate transactions. He has experience handling most aspects of litigation, including conducting discovery, arguing motions, representing clients at mediation, and drafting appellate briefs.
