Sean is a shareholder of the firm and represents real estate developers, health care professionals, closely-held businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. He advises clients in all aspects of the organization and operation of the client's business, including complex sale, financing, merger and acquisition, and tax credit syndication transactions. In addition, a substantial portion of his practice is devoted to tax and estate planning matters for individuals and ownership succession planning for closely-held business owners. Sean has represented clients before the Missouri State Tax Commission and has also represented clients on a variety of issues before the Internal Revenue Service, including IRS appeals and private letter ruling requests. Sean is also an active participant in various bar associations and charitable organizations in the St. Louis area, serving as either legal counsel or as a board member.

In 2005, Sean received the Gary I. Boren award from Washington University School of Law for being the highest ranked graduate from the Masters in Taxation LL.M. program.

From 2001-2003, Sean was a member of the Board of Governors and the Chair of the Taxation Section for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Since 2002, he has served on the Missouri Bar Legislative Review Subcommittee for Taxation and has been the Secretary/Treasurer of the St. Louis 1904 World’s Fair Charitable Foundation.
