Bob is a founding partner at the Firm and also Chairs the Real Estate Department. His practice encompasses all aspects of real estate law, while focusing primarily on representing developers in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and sale of residential and commercial property, and on representing borrowers and lending institutions in commercial loan transactions. He also assists clients with their business law needs by reviewing and preparing corporate and limited liability company documents, such as shareholder agreements, employment agreements, operating and partnership agreements and by advising on a variety of business issues.

In addition to managing the Real Estate Department and assisting clients, Bob also assists with the management of the Firm’s personnel and day-to-day business needs. A former professional tennis instructor, Bob enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife.

Bob is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of lawyers, which is the highest rating attainable.

Experience:

Bob has been involved in projects such as:

  • Representing a developer in a $14,000,000 sale transaction, involving a mixed-use, permitted project in downtown Boston, consisting of approximately 115 residential units, 6,500 sq. ft of retail space, and related garage parking
  • Representing a client in the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of college student housing in Worcester–comprised of eight multi-family buildings and 24 units
  • Representing a developer in the acquisition of a $50,000,000 suburban real estate portfolio, including industrial / warehouse space, vacant land and several residential apartment buildings
  • Representing developers in the acquisition, development, conversion and sale of a variety of residential condominium projects. Represented a developer in the creation of a newly-constructed, mixed-use condominium in East Boston, including the sale of 66 residential units and four ground-floor commercial units
  • Representing clients in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and/or sale of various commercial office and retail buildings
  • Representing various partners and members in connection with real estate partnership disputes and so-called “business divorces”
