Patricia “Peezy” Mullins’ practice focuses primarily on personal injury litigation, employment litigation, and defense of long-term care facilities. In 2009, Peezy was selected by her colleagues in the Missouri and Kansas bars as a “Rising Star” in civil litigation defense and she was listed in the 2009 Super Lawyers publication. Peezy also works with long-term care facilities in ensuring regulatory compliance and in the drafting of admissions agreements, policy and procedure manuals, and marketing materials that are consistent with applicable federal and state regulations. Peezy regularly provides training to long-term care employees and management. Peezy has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters, including insurance defense, personal injury, civil rights and employment litigation.
Of Note
Peezy was the 2007 chair of the KCMBA nursing home committee. She is also active with the Association of Women’s Lawyers. Peezy is an adjunct professor for Rockhurst University, where she teaches Commercial and Healthcare Law courses. Peezy is also a regular speaker for the Missouri League of Nursing.
