Michael H. Wallis, born Houston, Texas, July 29, 1974. Preparatory education: Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana (B.A. Public Relations, 1996). Legal education: South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas (J.D., 2001). Honors and Distinctions: National Order of Barristers (2001); National First Amendment Moot Court Tournament - First Place (2001); National Health Law Moot Court Tournament First Place (2000). Member: State Bar of Texas; San Antonio Bar Association. Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2001 and licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts of the Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

While in law school, Michael participated in South Texas’ highly regarded trial advocacy program, and won two national moot court competitions in 2000 and 2001. Upon graduation, he earned membership into the prestigious national organization, The Order of Barristers, based upon his trial advocacy success at South Texas. Michael has been chosen by his peers as one of the best medical malpractice defense and appellate lawyers in San Antonio as published in Scene in S.A. magazine. He currently focuses his practice on professional liability defense, including legal and medical malpractice, but also defends a variety of claims including products liability, premises liability, and complex business litigation.
