Matthew J. Douglas received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996. He received his law degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1999. Matthew has been a practicing as a member of the Illinois bar since 1999 and as a member of the Nevada Bar since May 2009. Since becoming licensed, he has concentrated his practice in casualty defense, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, and related litigation in both State and Federal Court. Matthew has significant appellate experience before the Illinois appellate court in prosecuting and arguing appeals and experience prosecuting appeals in the Nevada Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Additionally, he has provided his insurance clients with lectures and seminars on coverage, insurer, bad faith and other assorted litigation issues. Matthew is a member of the Nevada Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and The Chicago Bar Association. Matthew is also involved in pro bono work in conjunction with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s CAP’s program.
